These seven (7) day camps are designed to introduce younger, talented rowers to the USJRNT and offer a completely immersive environment. The primary goal of this camp is to increase the pool of younger athletes in the United States Junior National Team system and to identify future hopefuls for the 2018 or 2019 High Performance and Selection Camps. The secondary goal is to improve fundamental rowing technique and boat feel through the use of small boats and sculling.

The total cost for this all-inclusive, overnight camp will be $TBA per rower to cover training, housing, and dining expenses.

Rowers will eat, sleep, and train with their teammates multiple times per day in multiple boats with a variety of the DC / MD / VA’s highest caliber coaches. Every practice will keep a rower to coach ratio of 4:1 and focus on technical development in every type of small boat available (1x, 2-, 2x, 4-, & 4x). In addition to the two a day water practices, rowers will work with local weightlifting, nutrition, and yoga specialists as well as participate in multiple classroom sessions focusing on a variety of topics including rowing in college.

**NOTE: Camps are by INVITE ONLY. To apply, please complete the online application following the button below. Please contact the Director (Paul Allbright) with any questions, comments, or concerns.

"The USRowing U-19 National Team Small Boat Centers' main goal is to promote the sport of rowing and develop the youngest level of champions by providing regional centers that promote the U-19 National Team and open the opportunity of the U-19 National Team to more individuals.

The majority of athletes that compete at the Junior World Championships every year have been rowing in the USRowing U-19 National Team Camp System for more than that summer. The development of these athletes is critical to the continued growth and success we see at the World Championship level. These athletes are also the core of every level above them from collegiate rowing to U23 and Senior National Teams.

We are excited about the growth and impact of our Small Boat Centers on the USRowing U-19 National Team program already. This is a unique opportunity for athletes to get introduced to sculling and small boats in a fun and safe environment. The coaching staffs are all accomplished rowers and coaches from elite Youth Coaches to NCAA champions to former US National and Olympic Team athletes. We are proud of the role they are playing in young athletes' growth in the sport of rowing."
